no need for a poll, theres plenty of threads regarding this very topic. 90% of the members here are going to tell you DC-DC, that's whats most popular.
Personally, I can go either way. With my setup I need an inverter and it works great. If I had a diffrent set up, that consumes alittle less power then I'd probably go DC-DC.

I voted DC though, I'm with ya... I thought about inverter for money reasons but I thought for alternator, bigger wires and fuses, more work, less chance of holding through a crank and all around waste reasons... DC to DC in my ride.
Otherwise I'd love to. Maybe someday ::sigh::
