Question sproggy Mk2.6 how many amp on it? i think 10amps?

hay far as i see the two MAX787 ics in parrael produce about 10amps? am i right well i cant figuer out how much power this will produce... i want to run a 1GHz amd and it requires alot of power...

i was reading on the website about powersupplies when i came across this...

    http://www.howstuffworks.com/power-supply.htm

this is for a 300W power supplie? to porduces that much power was a waste i thought so i did some more looking into this... and on the same website ( nice site btw )

    http://www.howstuffworks.com/power-supply3.htm

    PC Item Watts
Accelerated Graphics Port (AGP) card 20 to 30W
Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) card 5W
small computer system interface (SCSI) PCI card 20 to 25W
    floppy disk drive 5W
    network interface card 4W
    50X CD-ROM drive 10 to 25W
    RAM 10W per 128M
5200 RPM Intelligent Drive Electronics (IDE) hard disk drive 5 to 11W
7200 RPM IDE hard disk drive 5 to 15W
Motherboard (without CPU or RAM) 20 to 30W
    550 MHz Pentium III 30W
    733 MHz Pentium III 23.5W
    300 MHz Celeron 18W
    600 MHz Athlon 45W

45W for 600MHz amd so it must be much more for a 1GHz?

so here is my idea i can hook up more MAX787 ICs in parrael in crease the ampage required but how would that effect the Whatage?

    and

if i add the new ic how can i redesgine the pcb? what program do you guys use to do that? i have electronic workbench the student edtion but i dont think this can do it? it would be great if you guys can name me a few programs perferably freeones but if not its cool might come in handy some other day ....

    thanks in advance

    iceT

p.s. i am very sorry for my bad english

    just for reference

    Watts = Amps * Volts
