    Help with power supply

    Hi,

I need to build a dual rail power supply that will give me between +-30v and =-40v @ between 2 and 3 amps
I have no problem in actually building the thing but i have no idea where to start with designing this sort of thing.

if anybody could help me out or even point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Pete

What is the input voltage of this supply? What is it for?

Oh. I was hoping that it would be an AC input...That would have made it easy.

Sorry, but I don't have anything that would work for you. Might want to think about just buying a cheap amp and ripping the supply out of it. Will probably be cheaper than building your own...
