bump anyone?????
Hi folks I recently fitted my car pc and im having some power issues. firstly great site I know I havnt posted much on here but I have been doing a LOT of surfing on this site and it has been very usefull so Thanks again.
RIGHT I have a pc chips m810 board with a 1300 duron 256 ddr 40Gb hard drive im running a usb dongle a belkin pci wireless card onboard sound and graphics and I have 1 usb going to the touchscreen and 1 usb going to the cd/dvdrom. now im no expert but I dont think this to much for the opus 150
Now for my problem the pc starts up and runs perfectly no probs at all, was on a 6 hour journey the other day and not one glitch ,the pc will go into hibernation or I can shut it down no probs too......but the fun starts when I try to turn it back on again the pc starts but does not post and no monitor signal is detected.
However if I remove and then replace the power connector from the back of the opus it will boot and work fine again until I close it down again and then im back to square one again..
Any ideas???
Sorry for the large post and im also sorry if this has been discussed before. I did search but couldnt find any clear answers
Thanks in advance

Actually, considering your 1.3Ghz Duron pulls 60w all by itself, you're at the limit of the 12v rail of your Opus 150w.
Read this to figure out why: FAQ: Will <insert PSU model> Power Supply work with my system?
Oh, and your post wasn't long at all.
yeh but if im at limit then how come it boots if you unplug and replug the psu to the board it does work but when you shutdown it dosnt start up again unless the psu is pulled .... this is this bit i dont understand
thanks for ur reply
I don't understand it either.
I'm just pointing out what the numbers say about your setup.
Here's a test: hook up a regular power supply to the setup and power it up using good old AC power and see what happens. If it boots up properly every time with no problems, then you know what the problem is.
What happens if you shut it down manually, or instruct it to shut down when the power button is pressed, will it come back up ??
