Is it possible.. (power options = sleep then off)

OK I've started thinking about my power options and what would be ideal for me, just wanted to see if others had tried it and had it work.

    Parts: M2ATX + m10000+ laptop drive+ lilliput

What I'd like to so is put the machine into standby for an hour or so before it is shut down. This would be handy as a lot of the time I am just stopping for a couple minutes here and there. I'd like the ability for an almost instant on even if it is chewing up power for a short amount of time.
    The plan:
Just use the M2ATX for all the power and timing (I currently have a ITPS+200V+DSSC for my timing switches)
Have the PC turn on from power loss
Set the power button to 'standby' (Providing standby will wake from the power button)
Standby for an hour or so
Set Windows XP to run like a laptop powering off after an hour or 2 (However this power off would be hibernate)

Is this possbile without having to hard reset randomly due to some odd power issue with the M2 or via?

I'd like to do the same with my Opus150, but have no clue how to do it. I'll subscribe and see what others suggest...

Doesn't hurt to try. This strategy works perfectly with all laptops. I'm not sure if it would work on a PC.

That's what my question is. Does it work and has anyone done it with a M2atx. My amp on will be run off it. I need the amp to turn off with the key off. I also am running an Audigy that 'pops' when it's unmuted from resume or on power up, I don't really want to have to used the DSSC still to triger the amp on.
The power options in Windows is pretty straight forward, but how the M@ would act is kind of up in the air. I'm also trying to figure out when the M2 gives the amp remote on. Is it right after post or 5 to 10 seconds later?

While were on the subject, dows anyone know if it is somehow possible to set the "System Hibernates" for a period of longer than 6 hours?

I want to set mine up similar to this, but would be using an aux. battery.

so I tried this and it didn't work...

I setup XP to sleep never and Hibernate after 20 minutes. Then the power button was set to sleep. So when the car turns off the M1 puts the computer to sleep (power button) and if I dont get back in the car in 20 minutes it "should" be hibernating right? But it is not. I was gone almost 2 hours (at which point it would have hard-offed from the m1) and it was still sleeping.

    Any ideas?
