Power through AC/DC input plug, or battery plug?
Hey guys, ive chopped up my older laptop and putting in my glovebox in what is going to be a pretty trick install.
I was just wondering, should I power through the 20v DC input in the backof the board, or connect into the 14.8Vinput that my battery uses to power the system located at the front of the board. Ideally id like to use the battery input connection because 14.8v is very close to the volatge of the car when running, so I could just hook up directly to the car battery, and use a startup controller to bing the system outof standby when the ignition is on accessories/on/start (do you think the system would crash with this setup when cranking the engine)
What would you use? The battery input has 7 pins but I can only see 2 of these conenction to the circuitry on the PCB. So I dont think it should be too much of a problem.
