Carnetix 1900 constantly flashing LED, tried to look it up

I have a Carnetix 1900 wired in to my battery. But now the LED is off until I turn the power to ACC for sure, not sure about steady power while the car is running.

Once it goes to ACC it begins to flash, regularly in an on, off, on, off, on, off fashion, of each time units between each on/off cycle. Hope this is making sense.

Nothing is being powered yet by the unit- computer is not in, nor is the monitor, etc. I am about to start a fiberglassing project in the car that uses the wall this is behind, I want to make sure I know what/if there is a problem before I begin that whole thing.

I have a video of the lights flashing to show speed, etc but will need to upload it first.

    Manuals are here : http://www.carnetix.com/support.html

V2 says that 50% duty cycle flash is Boot lockout - power on, acpi sent to mobo, waiting for boot. Sounds normal to me, given that you have no mobo connected.

Why don't you just hook up the rest of the gear to check it out properly?

(as posted on the CarNetix support forum)

Not to worry. The P1900 will flash at a 50% on 50% off rate during the "bootup lockout" state (when you turn on ACC). This is the period of time when you are prevented from turn off the P1900 since the PC is still booting. After about 45 seconds the LED will stop flashing. At this point the P1900 is in "run" state (PC fully booted) and you can safely turn off the PC without harming the hard drive.

    Make sense?

Gotcha! I will plug it all in a little later today to check it all out, just been working on this SO much, and I saw the LED's and I kinda freaked out for a bit
