Need help hooking up shutdown controller

I hope this isn't too dumb of a question, but i'm not sure how to hook up jeffs shutdown controller that I just got. So far i've got this the +12 and -12 (red and black) wires go to the always-on 12v of the car. The two kill switch wires (yellow & white) just go to any momentary switch. Can the Vcc wire go to the remote-on wire from my headunit (used for amps) or does it go to the ignition switched 12v line? What does the "12v out" wire connect to? The wire for the atx power button goes on the + pin on the motherboard i think. I'm using an inverter so basically where do I have to connect everthing to get the controller working (and shuting off the power to the inverter). The furthes i've gotten is to get the relay to make contact (connected +12 and -12 wires). I also think I may have fried something by accident because the LED isn't lighting up anymore. Someone please try to bare with me and help me out,

I need help too. ASAP.

I just now got around to adding it to the puter.

ANyway, the puter turns on right away when connected to +12 with the +12v batt and I don't even have the ignition hooked up either. When I try to add a switch inline with the +12v batt, the relay goes nuts when I turn the switch on.

the +12v batt should be constant right. And the +12v ignition can just go to a switch or something that has 12v right?
my 12v switched goes right into the PSU. all my grounds are hooked together.

I need halp with this ASAP.

Hey guys .. i dont think you people read the instructions....?

Anyway .. the red wire goes to the +12 of the battery directly .... dont connect any other wire now... when the unit gets the +12 and ground the first time the relay kicks on .... touch the yellow and the white wire for a second then wait for 3mins till the relay cuts off ... you can adjust this time with the 504 pot

Once the above is done then the Controller shall work perfectly ..

Its important you have to do this step everytime you disconnect the +12 and ground (red and black) from the controller,

THE RED AND THE BLACK WIRES NEED CONSTANT CURRENT(24hurs a day).

then you connect the orange wire to any thing dc-dc ,inverter, its bacically your cars +12vdc

Ok one more thing the blue wire need +12vdc so it can be from a

switch

the remote wire for a amp from a player

the acc line

anything ... just has to be +12 volts amps not imp

Anything else....

Yes I do read instructions.

second, I don't have yellow and I don't have blue and I don't have orange. Maybe Jeff ran out of those colors when he did mine. I have 2 red, 2 black and a white.

Red|White|Black|Black|Red

If you even look at his picture, those colors aren't there.

And nowhere does it say that you have to set it up like that for it to work anyway.

So which wires are these out of the top pic?

And which is the blue and orange too?

When you hook up the the power to the device, it should turn on. This is because all the caps need to charge up to operating levels. If you hit the kill switch then wait a few minutes the relay should turn off. If the relay is going nuts, there might be a problem with the board. Make sure it looks like this:

Alright, thanks for the help but now I think I blew the relay or something. It doesn't click like it used to and the LED doesn't come on (no power coming out). Is there a max current for that relay? ( I also had my lcd powered by it)

there is no max current for the relay in my design cause the 7805 controles the relay .. so there is less chance of you blowing up the relay ....

Check the connections again....!

so Jeff, was I right in the way it gets hooked up?
The board does look like that. I never tried the kill switch tho.
So what does the ignition wire do if it powers on w/o it?

How long b4 your new one is ready? I will be first on the list!
