Thread: Problem with DSATX, NO LED, no shutdown.

Hi all,
I submitted this problem yesterday to support@mpegbox but haven't received a reply yet. I am really scratching my head over this.

I am just setting up my carpc and stereo. I have:
shuttle sk21g
athlon sempron 2800
2gb ddr400 memory
hitachi 80GB. laptop HD
panasonic slim slot load dvd/dvdrw
xenarc 7" tsv.

The power supply worked great when bench testing and also
at first in the car when testing. I ran a couple of last tests and
the led started flashing 5 times (over power or fault). so I disconnected
all power to the cpu etc. and looked for anything that would case the
fault as I hadn't added anything else (that would account for it being
overpowered). After verifying that everything looked ok and there were
no stray wires touching etc. I connected and powered up the cpu and
noticed that there was now NO led lit on the DSATX. I didn't think much
of it (thinking perhaps the LED was faulty) and finished my testing. I
turned off the car and went inside. a couple of hours later I went outside
and noticed that the pc and monitor were still on!

so the power supply does provide power but it is no longer controlling shutdown/startup. Is this a known issue? (I have read a couple of similar
threads but not quite the same).
