    It might help.
Proper grounding is always a good idea.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?

The inverter should have positive, neutral and ground. Someone here said not to ground your inverter, but that caused issues for me. Connect neutral and ground to the same grounding location. Also, make sure your screen is either powered off the computer or has the same ground as what the computer is being powered by.

i have the same problem... the PC is power by a 300W Inverter connected directly to the car battery.. and my LC is connected to the lighter plug and i have interference on the screen... i'm sure the interference comes from the inverter, because i connected it to my house and works great...

    any help?

Try powering the screen off the computer power supply. Chop up a 4-pin molex and use yellow (+12v) and neutral black leads.

that's too complicated, the PC is in the trunk and the LCD is in the front...
if there is no other solution i will do that do that, but its a long car, it's about 5 meters of cable from the back to the front...

    any other solutions?

PS: if i feed the LCD directly from the PC power supply, will that fix he interference coming from the VGA cable?

Hard to say, you'll want a good quality VGA cable that's kept away from other power wires. Just run a power cable temporarily to the PC power supply to see if it helps.

I'm using a 10ft. plus the ~6ft. length of the Xenarc cable with no problems, but if you've got a 5 meter run that could very well be a problem. Get the monitor closer to the PC and do some process of elimination.

i don't thing the length is the problem, i have a 10 meter long VGA cable and tested it on my house, and works just fine....

the problem is in the car, that's why i think its the inverter...
someone told me that the solution might be to put a frequency filter to the 220V output of the inverter...

    any opinions?
