    bookPC dc-dc power supply

Has anyone been able to get a dc-dc power supply to work with a book pc? I was messing with my old book pc to see if i could use it as a second system.

i have a keypower dc-dc atx power supply. i spliced the corresponding wires from the keypower to the bookpc motherboard......it powes on for like 5 seconds then cuts off.

Any ideas on how to get this thing running?

    thanks....and i did do a search =)

is that the green wire? if so all i did was splice the corresponding wire from the motherboard to the one off of the keypower psu.

i also tried hooking up the yellow wires off of the motherboard to a direct 12volt source and it worked.........but i don't think that will be a safe way of doing it...12 volt direct and thye rest off of the keypower.

what do you mean by grounding the ps on?

dont go splicing your supply to all ends until you find something that works - just insert it into the according cable end
