First of all the options for S1 power saving need to be enabled in the BIOS.
You also need to make certain that the option to enable hibernation is enabled in the Power Saving control panel.
Im using the OPUS 150w dc-dc converter and the Foxconn 648FX4MR-ES Socket 478 SIS 648FX Micro ATX Intel Motherboard.
First off, theres no hibernation/stand by option when you click shut down in windows.
Secondly, the computer will not automatically boot. I have the ignition wire set up correctly, but when i turn on the car, the computer wont boot. But, if i go press the power button, it will.
when I checked the Opus manual at how to configure your bios, my computer hardly had any of the same options.
Is my mobo incompatable? Or can someone please help me set this up.
Thanks,
Jason
Hello,
I had it on s1, but i switched it to s3 because thats what the opus directions said to do. Eitherway, in the power options, under the control panel, theres absolutely no 'hibernation' tab.
What OS are you using? If it's 2000/XP, right-click on your desktop, go to Properties... Go to Screen Saver tab... Click on Power... Go to Hibernate tab... Enable hibernate support... Click on Apply...
Then, go to the Advanced tab... in the dropdown list, select Hibernate...
Should be good to go...

Its not there, but Im assumign that its maybe because i stripped down winXP with n'Lite. I guess I just give her the ol reinstall and see if the tab is there.
Doing a full install will probably work... if you're still trying stuff before you format make sure you have latest drivers (for the mobo - chipset, processor, etc..) installed. I had a similar thing with another computer and wasn't until I updated drivers for the chipsets and motherboard that I could enable hibernation support.
