PC takes 10 mins to come on?

OK so carputer has been working fine for about 3 months

just recently ive had a flat battery.... (ive had flat batterys before and its been fine)

but now when I get in the car and start the car.... nothing...... but strangely the PC seems to be on? as can hear fans going and there a light on the bluetooth usb thing.....

so I think stuff it... drive down the road for about 5-10 mins.... then sudenly it will start booting up???

my first though was maybe its a loose screen wire... but it cant be.... ive checked em all....and when it does suddenly come on its from first post ie can see it posting... (dosnt suddenly come on fully loaded)

    any ideas???

What OS are we talking about here?
does your screen light up but nothing draws for that long time?

    If using windows XP:
When you manage to get it booted do this:
    start->run->cmd [enter]
    chkdsk /f [y] [enter]

    reboot.

when it reboots, it will force a chkdsk on the drive just to ensure everything is ok.

If that does not help *tripple check* ALL wires and then reset BIOS data to default using the reset jumper.

    If that does not help
start removing pc components such as wifi cards, sounds cards, misc accessories, touch screens,....
untill you get down to the core-basics: Keyboard screen and mobo.

reset bios sounds a good idea... but if I do that it will lose all bios settings and im sure I had to change some to get it too boot in the first place.... have to dig the manual out...

    >after that , think your right , ill strip it down.... just bit time consuming aint it!!!
