i bet it's a grounding thing. i had issues with that..........did you try regrounding?
Hey all,
I have search and search this topic and am sure there isn't a solution on here yet to my problem.
Problem = My 90w Opus is getting power as indicated by the flashing LED, once every 3 seconds. However my PC will not boot.
Things i have tried =
1) Tested the voltage on all lines - getting;
12v on red line
12v on blue (IGN switched) line (this also goes once switched off acc)
So power is getting to the Opus as stated above the LED is flashing - The manual states this the Opus is powered and awaiting the Ignition signal to power on the PC
2) Checked the wires from JU1 (to send power on signal to m/b) this seems fine and tried switching the wires to ensure i had the correct polarity.
3) Removed fuse as this has been mentioned in another post
4) Removed power to Opus removed all wires from m/b - Then reconnected Power then all wires - Still no joy! Again mentioned in another post
5) Left PC (and Opus) in the house for two days so it is warm as many have stated there are some dodgy PSu's knocking about and thought i may have one. Tried this morning with a nice and warm PSU but still no boot!!!
Anyone got any suggestions?? I already had an M2-ATX that needs the PIC retiming so got this and it did work for bout a week while i was testing in my car.
So it doesn't seem i have on of these dodgy PSu's as it doesn't work when warm or cold - just sit;s there idle waiting for the 12V on the IGN line but doesn't do anything!!
Also the PC works from an ATX PSU indoors!!
Thanks for any help
Lewis

Well i have removed my stock stereo and am using those wires.
Thinking about it i have just wired my amp so i could use a disto block for power 12v and use the amps ground point.
What you think? I'm running outta ideas!!!![]()
I am having the same issues. Ground is good, the mobo is good, I have a blinking lght every 5-6 secs, but no boot.
I have one fear, That the ground disconneted, and it kept working, burning something on the psu. I reconnected the ground, and it continued working, then i disconnected the + and it didnt work again.
I checked everything. I plugged it in the power button, and tried to turn it on manually, and it seems the opus psu is just not sending the power to the board.
I am at a loss.

I havn't seen or heard anything like that on these forums to be honest. Surely the Fuse would have blown before hand?
my stupid opus 90w doesn't work no more. i'm getting a dsatx.
it like works when i take the carpc and fiddle with it and then i put it all nice and neat under the seat and start the car and doesn't work again.....so flakey...I'm done with opus.
