That's pretty neat. Why not just put a switch on the IGN line to the power supply? Just trying to get away from that?
Hi,
I've done some work on a wiring diagram how to keep the carpc running if you're on a petrol station, atm or something.
How it works:
Hold down Switch S1 and turn off ignition.
Relay K1 pulls and keeps itself alive - constant 12V on remote of M1/M2 or whatever.
If you turn on the ignition again K2 opens the circuit for K1 and the relay falls back to it's old state. The next time you just turn off the ignition without pushing S1 the powersupply (M1/M2) will shutdown like usuall.

You can put a switch in the ignition line, but than you have to turn it on and off all the time.
With the above wiring you just push the button once to keep it running and the next time you turn on the ignition everythings goes back to it's old behavior.
That way, u can't forget that your carpc is on "allways on" mode.
Germans allways want more than just an "on / off switch".![]()

On the M1 or M2 you don't need a shutdown controller. The wiring is only to keep the carpc alive if you're just leaving for 5-10 minutes. Otherwise if u pull the key or turn off the ignition the carpc will shutdown or hibernate or whatever.
With this u just push the button and you can leave and lock the car like usuall but the carpc will remain running.
