HELP, image flickers when music is playing!!!

The image flickers when music is playing. I know its not the LCD because when i power the computer using AC DC inverter, this doesn't happen. I've got the inverter hooked to the car battery which is a very small unit. Does any one have any segestions on how to fix the problem. I'm guess i should regulate the 12V DC source but how do i do this? Would a better battery solve this problem?

hi, this is noise from the computer/harddisk/etc all affecting the lcd's powersource.

ur right in assuming you should regulate the supply. perhaps something like a compressor on the line to the psu would help. I reduced my problme by doing so, but it's still there. the next step I'll take is to use a secondary dc-dc powersupply to power the screen + peripherals.

I'm not powering the LCD from the PSU, the LCD is powered from the origianal power provided for the origial CD player. The computer is in the boot. Would grounding the case help? Also, what is a compressor and where do i install it?

that's a good plan. the best way to do this would be to power ur LCD from a very celan source, like the PSU itself. (if it can handle the load)

The screen is a lili 701 so it has internal amps, don't think the PSU can handle this. Anyother alternatives?

If the problem is still there... Have you noticed if it flickers more when the engine is running and a difference in flicker when you rev the engine (alternator)
let us know. If you have fixed it already, what did you do

I had the same issue with flickering, i would power your screen from the PC PSU to ensure itss getting clean power, that should resolve your issue, it did mine.
