Help! Having issues wiring CarPC Pro v.2.5 shutdown controller & Opus 150W

Just like the title says. I dont know how to wire the two together? I dont have an inverter I dont think. What is an inverter? On the shutdown controller instructions it says wire the 2 green wires to the inverter/power switch but I dont get it. Which is positive and which is negative(green wires)? do I just connect the 12v, ACC, and GND from the Opus 150W to the shutdown controller? ANd it will be able to control my Computer? Help. Excuse my ignorance on the inverter. Here are some pics of my power button for my PC though Becaus eI thought mythe green wires get spliced into the blk & red wires on the pics

YOu have a shutdown controller that you don't need.
    You don't need an inverter.
The Opus 150w will probably power your motherboard and has a built-in shutdown controller.

Now if you have a laptop, you've got all the wrong stuff.

Philly#1 Lex here is a prime example of why myself and a lot of the other long-timers at these forums tell new members to go to the FAQ Emporium and read the posts there and search the forums for various topics and read the threads that result.

Had you done that, you'd know whether you have the right components for your setup, and likely how to wire them up.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Just to clarify what DarquePervert is saying:
Opus 150 already has a builtin shutdown controller and a DC-DC power supply which means you do not need to use the extra shutdown controller you have and there is no need for an invertor either as the opus will provide the power. You just have to make sure your system's power needs can be met with what Opus can put out on its rails. That information you can find in the FAQ section DarquePervert is suggesting you should read.

I have read in the FAQ's forum and it has alot of good info. I have a shutdown controller for the primary purpose of preventing that annoying amp thump and temperature monitoring capabilities. So is there a way to wire the two together. I dont have a radio shack here in Italy so I cant go down and get the ground loop isolator, diodes and etc. to stop those problems.

This thread shows me how to wire the OPUS 150W
FAQ: How to Wire an OPUS PSU

Just want to know if it is posssible how to wire the shutdown controller in.
    Thanks

And we're telling you that that the Opus power supply has a shutdown controller built in.
That shutdown controller is meant for a PC motherboard, not an amplifier. It's not going to accomplish what you want anyway.

I dunno thats a 150 opus... same as mine.... so it wont turn off the USB ports properly so that shutdown controller will come in handy if he wires it before the opus

I understand what you are saying about the Opus. I know now that the shutdown controller was not needed for controlling power, But I want to know if I could wire it before the Opus to control the amps and monitor temps without have to buy other pieces? ChewEboy can you explain what you mean buy wiring before the Opus. Or anyone for that matter. If it can be done please share if not just tell me no it cant be wired before the opus. thanks

IMHO Shutdown controller doesn't solve 5VSB issue with ATX compliant power supplies ( like Opus 150W) ... It only switch on/of mobo .

I think that shutdown controller is too expensive solution if you use it only for starting amplifier. To start amplifier run wire from your carpc ( may be from 12V drive supply connector) and optionally through some low-cost delayer.

well all the ones that are sold on mp3car all have a volt meter that cuts off when battery power reaches a certaint point....

so it would cut all power to car pc if set in line before it

basicly your soon to find out that the opus 150 is flawed and does not cut power to the USB ports when it shuts the PC down....

so if you have lots of USB things conected like GPS, bluetooth or what ever ya have... the car battery will be drained quick.... leaving you with a flat battery...

(I must of had about 20 flat batterys before finaly working that out)

so you either need to use a shutdown controler or mod the OPUS

the company OPUS will mod the power supply for you if you send it back to them

or you could mod it your self...... see here..... http://www.fmev.com/opusmod1.htm
