m2-atx: is mine defective?
I've recently purchased a few compoents from mp3car.com, and have been reading the forums here regularly. I've got a 2006 Mustang GT and have replaced the Aftermarket deck i have with a custom fit car PC (following advise of a recent poster here who did the same).
I have got everything installed and it's working almost perfect except for one thing. When i turn off the IGN the PC does NOT (19/20 times) shutdown and turn off. It stays on, I have tried many different options but cannot seem to get it to shutdown automatically. I have finally given up and wired a manual switch to the J9 pins.
My question is, why does my setup not work, is there something that i may have setup wrong to cause this problem? I'm 90% sure i connected the 3 power wires up correctly (battery +/- and ACC).
1 out of 20 times, the PC does shutdown when powered off, but the other 19 times i have to power it off with the manual switch. Note that the PC turns on by itself everytime with no flaws.
Also my remote pins does not power my amps, but from searches and reading i think it is caused to a voltage drop, which is disapointing, because i purchased this DC-DC ps with this feature as one of the big ones in mind.
Any have ideas or suggestions reguarding these matters?
Thanks in advance!
