Unhappy OMG "ANOTHER" Opus Issue (But I Searched) Promise

    Hi All,

Ive been about for a year or so but due to my hate of typing i rarly post, esp since most infor can be found but this has me stumped, I know that my IBM Netvista SSF is a Standard ATX Board, Flex Format,

Up until now i have just been running my laptop as car pc mainly as i ended up using my CarPC as a Multimedia pc with a spare touch screen in the kitchen, very Cool, CEnrtrafuse Rocks, And i look all the better in the Missus eyes for installing this handy little system for her, I did it for her not because i was out of storage in the press

Any way i hooked up the PSU to the CarPC and configured it as in the quick guide for a manual boot via the softstart (Case Button) for testing, this involved hooking the two positives and the acc line to the 12volt Distro Block, (volt Display) so there is enough current, Earth is Good Also.

When i connect the cable to the Opus i should get two flashes ot say it has detected the mode its operating in, I get a Single Flash, the the Green Lights Constantly, the PC Power Light Lights but nothing happens, when i connect power to the Netvista (ie when plugged in) with the standard ATX PSU it spins like this and the powers down for two - three seconds and then powers down, i would then be able to hit the psu button to start the pc, the issue is at this stage with the Opus.

At this stage its does this but never dies, any ideas, all settings are standard on the opus, it just sits there with the green lights on as above, the Opus well exceeds the stock PSU on all Rails, the only thing between the Opus and PSU is an ATX Cable (20 PIN) Extension, no drives connected, just MB, CPU, RAM, Graphics Onboard.

Going from the information in your signature, you're overloading the 12v rail of the Opus 120w PSU.
Read this thread, and it will explain how I figured that out: FAQ: Will <insert PSU model> Power Supply work with my system?
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

I don't think that is it, the Opus 120 exceeds the max possible draw on all rails on my PSU, thats a 90Watt Max Unit, 75Watt Nominal, I will test with another machine tonight..

Every source I've used says that your PIII 1Ghz CPU draws a minimum of 26.1w and as much as 34w. That's just the CPU power draw and doesn't take into consideration motherboard, RAM, HDD, screen or anything else drawing 12v.
Although, if the stock PSU is rated for less and powers the system just fine, that's something to take into consideration.

Have you put a multimeter in place to see how much you're actually drawing on any given rail?

    Hi All.

The issue was the polarity of the pins on the mb to power on/off the Pc
