    what powersuply

i have spent most of the day looking through the forums here and reading about powersuply issues. i had first thought to build a DC-DC suply myself but i decided it really wasnt worth it with the number of PSU's out there so my question for you all is

what do i go for ...

as far as i can see it Opus, DSATX and the M1-ATX / M2-ATX are all really good but they must have some pros and cons so far with looking at them a DSATX caught my attention as its programmable but then do i really need that.

so to those of you that yse them what do you like about it and what would you change

    Regards Joshua

This has all been discussed in-depth.
Searcht he forums to find waht other users say about each of the models,a s well as potential issues you could face with each one.

As far as which one to choose, it really depends on your proposed setup. If you want to run a P4 system and a 3D card, you're locked into the DSATX pretty much. If you're going to use a low-power EPIA M10000, any one of the PSUs you noted will work.

There are too many factors for any one of us to tell you which one to purchase.

I wouldn't change a thing about my DSATX.

FAQ: Will <insert PSU model> Power Supply work with my system?
That thread should help you choose a PSU.

thats all well and good .. but reading your posted link tells me what i have allready discovered .. im more interested in personal thoughts here ... what features work well and that sort of thing ...

at the moment im trying to decide if i go for a small micro ITX system with minimum power draw or if im going to put a more powerhungry unit in

without doubt that decision will be the driving force behind the final choice of PSU but that still dosnt tell me if for example most people have better experiances with say DSATX's implementation of the start/stop timer

    1) There is a section for reviews of various products, including power supplies. Look there.
    2) Search the bloody forums, man! There are tons of first-hand user experiences, including problems, praise and other information.
