Is this a power supply issue?

When I resume from hibernation, one out of three times or so it stops after getting to the last bar on the black screen when loading windows from hibernation.

    My system has:
    M2-atx
wd 160gb (desktop version, not notebook)
    PCI Audigy2
usb wireless, usb bluetooth, usb gps, usb touchscreen
new stick of 256m memory (did the same on my 512m stick)
    XM receiver

It also did this on my old hard drive... (a desktop hard drive as well)

Not really, sounds more like either a device not reinitializing properly, or a program hang. More than likely one of your USB devices.

It did this prior to the new harddrive (I have since reinstalled windows). What would you suggest doing? I am even using different software for almost everything! Should I try to narrow it down to a USB device or something? And if I find it... throw it out??

That's what I'd say, just keep pulling devices one by one until it doesn't do it anymore. Have you checked your event log just in case?

I'd sell your whole system to me for ~$100, shipped. That'd solve your problem. Or, at least you wouldn't have to worry about it anymore. ;-)

If you're using XP, I believe it's in the control panel > Administrative Tools > Event log.

That's correct. I'm a little slow today, got a lot goin, sorry.

Only thing a little off is it's called the "Event Viewer". Check the system and app log for any probs.

I looked at it and it said there was a problem with "wzcsvp" or something -- I googled it (whatever it was) and it said it was my wireless lan =(. I diconnected it, and hibernated/booted up 15 times and it worked like a charm each time. Now I have to figure out what's going on with that and how to fix it... one thing I thought of is that it's on a 10 ft + extension cord (in addition to the cord that came with the usb card). Do you guys think that might be causing a problem, or should I look for a new wireless card?

It's possible that it could be your extension, but what brand of adapter is it?
