Lilliput TC1000 12V Power Cable

G'day All,

Am new to this forum so hopefully I've come to the right place!

I have a Lilliput TC1000 and the 12V Power Cable that came with it is 5 core however the colour of the wires don't match up with whats in the user manual.
Here's a picture of the cable...

This is what the user manual says each one is for;
- red one to +ve power
- black one to -ve power
- white one to automobile electric control lock (ignition I assume?)
- blue one to ground

Now first of all they have only listed four.
Second there is no white or blue lead.

So which one goes to which???

I'm guessing that the red and black ones where there is only 2 pins on the top row is the +ve/-ve to the battery, but the other 3 pins I don't know which is which.

Any ideas??

looks like the 2 black are grounds
the 2 reds are live
and the brown is acc from your car

anyone actually own one and has wired it up? Its jsut a VIA TC1000 mainboard

Why would they have 2 wires for power though?

Look at the ATX plug for a motherboard, it has multiple wires for each voltage. Its primarily to cut costs I believe. You spead the current across multiple smaller wires instead of one large wire. That or it may be two idependent circuits powered from the same plug

The other 2 (red and black) are outputs. At least, that`s where i used them for.

I don`t remember exectlay what i hooked up to them. But you could hook up your monitor to them. If u want constant 12v on it.

Hi Guys

Same problem as Paul75. My power lead has 6 wires - 2 yellow, 2 black, 1 green & 1 red. Pin 1 is green, pin 2 is black, pin 3 is yellow. The red is above the green and black above black, yellow above yellow. Any ideas?

I e-mailed Lilliput and they sent over a new manual which has the six wire power lead. The following picture makes a lot more sense. The green one I have also put to ground that way, as you will know, it works while driving (the whole point of our hobby) if not it will only work when the handbrake is applied
