    Carnitx 1900 + AOpen Pandora - Plug-and-Play Kit Problems

Hello all, I searched and didnt find anybody else with this problem...

I picked this up and followed the info here for getting it set up. It turns the pandora on perfectly.

My problem is that when I have it connected, the cube heats up and seems to shut down due to heat.

Once I remove it and run the machine it works fine. Has anybody else had this problem with it? I found several threads about soldering the power button but not a whole lot of info on using the button kit.

    Thanks!

When you say "cube", do you mean the pc or the p1900? What are the temps you're getting? Mine stays at 149 degrees and if it ever gets to 151-153 the fan speeds up and brings it back down to 149. You can find a program that monitors the temps somewhere in this thread Aopen Pandora MiniPC MP915-B Some people have had heating issues with these but if you look at aopens forums there is supposedly a fix you can rig up to at least help. If you're saying that you use the pc indoors and it doesn't shut down and then you take it in your car, that could be the temperature difference it takes to shut down.

The entire Pandora heats up and is hot to the touch. I think the fan isn't running when it's connected. Right after I took out the button extender the problem went away...

Ok...figured it out...the extension cable was folding over the top of the fan for the CPU/video fan preventing it from running...so it would heat up. I stuffed part of the cable over a bit and plugged it back in and the fan came on and stayed cool.
