`NEW' Small DC-DC ATX Power Supply
Hey, just got done working on a new DC-DC power supply plan. It measures 4"x1.5"x1.5" (LxWxH) small. Takes the 12V input and puts out +5, -5, +3.3, +12 and -12 ATX style with all the current tolerances up to like 5amps on the +5 and 4amps on the +3.3.
It's a ~120W power supply, so that's plenty for the higher end processors, (i.e. AMD & Intel). Also, along with the ATX connector i'm going toss in either 1 or 2 4pin power adapters as well.
All that's needed is a 10+ Amp rated switch and a fused line to connect to this bad boy. Hook them up, then you have a DC-DC ATX Power Supply
One cool thing, NO heatsink or fan is required!! Even at high loads! That was a tricky area for this project.
Anyway, getting the boards fabb'ed shortly so i can test it on a real mobo instead of a bench. Will probably have 5 units within the week.
Is anyone interested in obtaining one of these? It was originally for a project but became fun and interesting. I can make a bunch, just make me an offer.
