    M1-ATX doesn't like 5V slim DVD?

I have a confirmed working (with regular home power supply) slim toshiba DVD drive.. for some reason it refuses to be identified when running on the M1-atx.. in fact the system will post, doesn't find the drive, and then gives a disk read error even though primary master HDD (which it's set to boot from) is still in place.

M9000, usb gps, usb TS, 3.5 12v hdd, nothing else crazy.

is my M1-ATX weak or is there a solution?
    Thank You /////ALPINE

using too much power? If everything you have is using the 5v then you might be pushing the limit
