    Portawattz 300 watt

I looked at this inverter, and I was all set to buy it, until I noticed one thing. It gives 115VAC out. The norm is 120VAC right? Will it still power a computer and a basic household bulb at the same time without problems?

US home mains can be 110Vac to 120Vac as rated by your supplier and where you live, most equipment can live on 100-130V though.
I've had power issues here and recorded swings from 95v up to 142v the power Co. said it's because I live near a switching station.
It still blows out bulbs real quick.

The bigger problem is alot of inverters don't produce a true sine wave. they may output a modified square or triangle waveform, some AC power supplies can deal with this and others won't and unless someone here has the same combo you plan to use you won't know till you try or chec the inverter output with an O scope.
If you come out talking sh1t don't try to turn around and wipe you azz.
