We Need A Better Powersupply!!!!

Why can't someone just hurry up and come up with an altimate PS that will power any system in house or car??? how hard could it be??? Also, it hase to be cheap, and easy to make... and, not just an INVERTER!!! lol

i thought YOU were working on one of these... or was that just one of your random "great" ideas that you asked 20 questions on and never did any work on?

so how much would you be willing to spend on something like this? im sure i could "half-***" something together. it wouldnt be small but it would get the job done...

Am still working on it..

It'll HOPEFULLY be half the height of a standard PS, that is if I can get it to work... Should power most systems...

i think i'm just going to make a linear power supply personally.. heat isn't a big concern for me, i've just got to make sure the fan in running. it's going to be in the trunk anyways, so it's not a really big deal.

yeh i reckon that you have talked about designing two in the past. There is the ultimate power supply that is a fairly recent thread, made using linear regulators.

And i have vague recolletions of a all in one supply, a 110 / 240 - DC supply, that could also run as a DC-DC supply, and even be used as an inverter, DC - AC. I'm still waiting to see working prototypes of these that you have started. or so we are told.
