    Pause start and Momentary switch

Hi, everyone. Its bluehcc again. I am about to start my another project on my 2006 Camry. But I have one myth in my mind. Things like Carnex power supply and shutdown controller provide on/off pause to startup and shutdown pc. From my past experience with Carnex, I only need to connect single pause wire to the mother to turn on/off pc. However, this time I am planning to use laptop in my setup. Laptop uses a momentary switch which require two wire short contact to power on/off. Does anyone know if i can just hook up that single on/off pause to one of the one of the two momentary switch wire, it will turn on the laptop? can someone with these kind of power supply or shutdown control give a shot, and let us know the result. I really don't wanna buy one and find out that it doesn't work. or may be i should just use one resister, one capacitor, and one relay to build my own switch... give me some opinion.
So far i have the dash fabricated, i will put everything together as soon as i find job get money and get the xenarc screen. so far i only have the xenarc housing mold into my extra dash.

    I think you mean "pulse"?

As for the laptop switch, please search, as this topic comes up often and was talked about pretty recently, too (I think I saw something yesterday?). There are a few diagrams on circuits people have designed for this issue.
    Gen 1: Pentium 3 1GHz - ATX - 2005
    Gen 2: Pentium M 1.6GHz - ITX - 2006
    Gen 3: Pentium M 2.0GHz - 5.25" SBC - 2007
    Gen 4: (coming soon: Core2 Duo - 3.5" SBC - 2009)
    ...it never ends

ah, i just the answer for my question after going throught the Carnex and Micro Shutdown Control. The new carnex has a ACPI relay that act as short circuit during start/shutdown, therefore it can be use for the laptop by parallelly wire it into the switch. One can also go for the other method by using a relay and the Startup/Shutdown Motherboard On/Off Pulse; since the pulse produces a short to the ground, one can use a relay to on/off a a switch...
