I just got an M2 ATX to power my system and had some weord problems with the GPS disconnecting after a few seconds(3-10). I temporarily powered everything off a 120v PS and a UPS and it all works perfectly. Here is my question. Do you think the Rikaline USB GPS is picky about power, the M2 I have is bad, or the M2 just isn't that great? I am powering an Athlon64 X2 3800, a 2.5"SATA HD, the USB touchscreen, and the GPS. Everything else seems to work fine, no app crashes, no OS errors, and reliable startup/shutdown.
Check in USB device properties (The HUB part), if power saving is turned on.
Also, that system pulls a lot of juice. Are you running the screen off the M2 as well?
I have heard many a horror story about the M2. Everything from fire to going down and bringing the rest of the computer with it. Mine works just fine, and I love it though.

After my M2 ATX burnt up almost immediately, I was pretty soured on it. When it burns up it will likely take other parts with it (my kvm and DVD drive in my case). If you insist on using the M2-ATX keep a fan on it at all times. Even better, get a heat sink and attach it to the top of the power fets using thermal conductive epoxy.Originally Posted by lanman1

There are many others. The M2-ATX is small, it's inexpensive, but it's fundementally flawed.
No screen, just the USB touch.
