    Power Options for PCM-5862

I currently have a PCM-5862 that I am going to be installing in my truck soon and I wanted to know what power options that I have since the board is powered by a Molex(like the one that powers a CD-Rom or HD) power plug instead of an AT or ATX type mobo plug. Also I am using the 12V option on the audio so that the sound quality is better. I plan to be running a laptop harddrive, which gets its power from the motherboard, and either a 40x4 LCD or a smaller TFT screen for display.

you should be able to buy an adapter to connect it to a normal power supply.

as for the hard drive. you can buy an adapter for about 5 bucks that will let you connect the HD to a normal IDE cable and 5/12 molex from the powersupply.

The embedded mobo I have is also powered by a Molex connector, requiring just 5v and 12v. I just built a small dc2dc power supply. Circuit diagram and board design is on my website if it's any use.
