    M2-ATX Not functioning corretly

I am using the M2-ATX power supply on my car PC. I have the jumper set to Mode=1 "A" so it should go into Hybernation in 5 seconds and turn the hard drive off in 45 seconds but.... when I turn the key off all software closes down but I can still see the mouse. When I turn the key back on... thats when the computer turns off. I have to turn the key off and wait 45 seconds and then turn the key back on to have the computer power back up from the OFF state, no hybernation.

Also... I want to use the "Anit-Thump" switch for the Amp relay. But I am not sure how to run this switch on such small pins. What do I use to connect them? There are two pins, which is in and out? Can someone tell me how they did this? (Picture would be great)

    So...My problems are:

    1. Hybernation is not working. (I would like to use Mode 2 jumper "b")

    2. Not sure how to wire "anti-thump to amp switch. ( I know basic wiring)

    Details about equipment:
    Motherboard - CN13000
Software - StreetDeck (set to boot with windows through shell registry edit)
Power Supply - M2-ATX (Power connections and swith are read correct on meter)

Could streetdeck be causing this issue?

It may be StreetDeck, definately a software issue. Your M2 is sending a switch pulse which will supposedly hibernate, but something is getting caught up (shutting down from windows shell, try eliminating devices/drivers one by one to see where the hangup is).

From what it sounds like, the M2-ATX is working perfectly. When you start it up cold, it boots fine, when you take out your key, it sends the shutdown pulse as witnessed by "it closes all software". Then when you send another pulse (key back in), since the computer is already on (and the on/off signal is really just shorting a pin) it shuts off.

Basically it is a software problem.

Could be Streetdeck. Have heard horrors.

As for the anti-thump, I'm sure you have some header cables lying around or a spare jumper with a wire. Just solder the wire from the jumper to the amp remote lead, and plug in the jumper.
As for where in the M2's manual, it shoes one as + and one as -. Most amps use + so connect it to that one. It is the header by the power terminals if I remember.

Thank You for your guide. Please advice, do we need to gnd the (-) pin on the m2-atx amp remote? Is there any specific cable size used to connect the amp remote? Thanks a zillion.

As for grounding the - pin on the M2's header, no. Not unless your amp needs it and I doubt it does. Just take the positive. This wire carries nothing but a small current at 12v, so the wire thickness is really anything small.

    good luck.
