Exclamation Opus 90W wont boot up...

I have an Epia M2-1000. Well the other day when the carputer turned on it was stuck at the bios screen (when it first turns on). It kept doing this, so I pulled the fuse (once the car was off) to let the power supply reset and tried it again. I went to turn the car on again, this time it wouldn't power up at all. I checked the fuse on the opus today and it was popped so I replaced it. Same thing. When you first plug in the power/ignition/ground harness, you get a quick flash. Then it flashes as if it is in standby. Once you turn the key to ON, I hear a slight noise (not sure what it is), but no power. The light on the opus stops blinking.

Any ideas? I checked the voltage on the power/ignition... power is always +12v.. ignition is +12v only when the key is in the ON position...

    Thanks,
    Chris

how many flashes? are they in a certain order?

maybe somehow the cable that tells the mobo to turn on is somehow loose?

Well I ripped the entire system ouf the car and finally got around to playing with it...

With a normal ATX power supply, it works fine. With the Opus, it blinks in standby then when it gets the 'ignition' power it it just dies. No flashing status light, nothing. I hear a slight noise right as it gets the ignition power. Best way to describe it is like a dialup modem hanging up (like a little hollow pop sound).

I verified the wiring of the 2-pin power cable from the PSU to the MB and it is correct. I'm out of ideas, anyone?

    Thanks,
    Chris

Power up the OPUS without the PC or peripherals connected, but give it a 12V load like a small fan. You might need to do some rigging, and then measure the voltages of the pins on the ATX connector with a multimeter.

How can you give it a 12V load without the MB attached? It'll just be in standby mode until it sends the power on signal to the MB wont it?

And what would you attach the fan to? One of the molex connectors? Will those have power?

This user posted an ATX connector diagram. You'll need to short the PS_ON pin to ground to turn on the OPUS.

Powering M1-ATX with CPU ATX power supply ???

Hook up the fan to any molex. See if it spins up.
