Anyone....Bueller...Bueller??
Hey guys, looking to get a P1900 to power my laptop and lcd. The question is my laptop required 15V -4A.
Has anyone successfully altered the voltage output of the P1900 beyond the known 18/19/20V options?
I have thought of using an external variable voltage regulator but even at 18V it would mean dissipating about ~12W of power (heat) - which would mean a rather large heat sink. If anyone has a better idea of how to get regulated 15 and 12V I am all ears.
Thanks.

Sure, of course. The point is I want all the startup/shutdown benefits of the carnetix as well as the seperate 12v and maybe 5v output. The problem again is the primary output is 18/19/20V and I need 15v.
Can anyone else confirm that there is a range of voltages laptops work over ie. a 15v laptop will work powered from a 12v supply?
why not just use a direct dc-dc psu and just use the power management features; like hibernate after inactivity...
i dont use laptops but i really like that feature of laptops.
