Inverter beeps when I plug in laptop- where get owner's manual?

My PPI 1200 Power-To-Go inverter works great for the 12V lights and fans that are wired in, but when I plug something in (like my laptop) it beeps almost incessently (even with the truck running). Are these loud beep patterns service codes? Can you point me to where to research this? How can I tell if the fan is working? Where do I take it to get serviced? Where can I find the manufacturers website/owner's manual? How do I add a circuit/fuse? (Currently wired straight to battery- no internal circuit/reset that I can find.) I am new to all of this, eager to learn. Thanks, Linnea

What do you mean it works great for the 12volt lights. Invertors convert 12 volts to 115 volts AC.

What are the specs of your computer power brick. How many watts is it drawing. I think the beeps mean you have either overloaded it, or are in thermal protection. You should be able to hear the fan, assuming there is one in there.

On my laptop PSU, a constant beeping means it's overloaded... My cat chewed the wires so the aluminum sheath around the cable was touching the small insulated copped conductor.
