Beautiful work man i want to know if this, will work with vista, I really love the power down option in vista and was thinning of using one of the buttons on my alarm remote to start-up and shutdown the pc will this be possible.

As far as vista goes, if it is backwards compatible with xp programs then, it should. Yes, I will include the ability to initiate startup and shutdown with a pulse signal.

    Sounds good,

I know you guys dont want to hear this, but, I took a break from this project this week. I simply hung out with my daughter and enjoyed the blizzard... I was getting a little geeked out. So I had to take a little break. I'll get back into it again tomorrow night. It's going pretty good, just very challanging. Take it easy fellas...... I'll keep ya up to speed....

Hey all, I'm sure some of you may be wondering what the status of the SDC is. Well...in this last month I have spent some time in the hospital with some health issues. (still not sure what's wrong) Also, I've had family and relationship issues to deal with all this month (who doesn't, right). It's just been one of those months. I have had very little time to make any progress on it. At this point, I have all but abandoned the project. I'll get back into it, just don't know when. I will draw up a schematic and post it for those of you who wish to use or play with the circuit design.

any news? Hows the family? Hospital problems?

I was wondering how you had everything wired up. I like the buttons controller the sub and power on/power stay on after ignition kill and all that, would be interested in the schematics of that.

well life isn't all that bad, considering i'm still alive and my little girl is healthy. I haven't done any work on the controller for 2 months now.

If i remember correctly you got a carnetix 2140. You can build a really simple pic based circuit to supply a simulated acc signal based on a push button interface. Also the amp remote signal could be provided by the pic through a relay. The circuit schematic provided by optczr could be stripped down to allow for this, also a much smaller pic could be used for these operations. with minimal coding.

hopefully this isn't too vague. if it is, i could draw something up for you real quick one of these days...
