I use the onboard sound card. So you mean connect a ground wire directly to the metal housing of my headphone/line/mic input on my mobo? Would that work also?

The audio noise is now cured with my new Ebay GLI. Only noticible slightly when music is paused and the volume is at max. But the screen noise is still there. I really need to find a goud ground point. Hopefully that will solve the problem.

did you upgrade the ground wire from your battery to chasis? Sometimes that can make a huge difference, especially if you have alot of power draw from the positive side of things. I even went as far as upgrading the ground from my chasis to engine/alternator (overkill) but my system is quiet as a mouse...

Oh yeah, ground loop isolators can work wonders, but sometimes they can also eliminate the sound you want to hear... they are a cheap fix but they never really do "fix" your problem, which are your ground wires...

No, i haven`t done that (yet). But what i did to test was a direct cable from the battery and that didn`t solve it either.

Someone said that wiring directly from the battery isn`t the best way, could someone explain why that is, because it seems to me that that`s the most direct connection it can get.

A alternator noise surpressor hooked to your M2 might work... The only thing that sucks about your situation is that it could be one thing or a number of things causing it. Try turning off a couple of things like your HU (if you have one) or any other item that could be interfering with your screen. Also try changing the resolution of your screen and tinker with the refresh rate, this helped get rid of some wavy looking lines i had scrolling acrossed my screen. Where do you have your PC mounted?

I also thought about that but other people told me that in cars from 1998 stuff like that isn`t needed anymore because cars are made to special standards and that stuff like that is mostly for cars that are older. What i did bought was a thing (i think like that) that needed to be mounted between the 12v+ line. But it was for a HU and i placed it between my Car PC because there`s the problem.

My PC is mounted in the trunk to one of the side panels. 4 bolts come out of the side panel where i can place my Voom Case over. I`ll try to take a picture when i can find a normal camera.

XM Isn`t possible here in Europe. But all cables from my Car PC are running throught my Roof. The only piece of powercables that run along that side are the Car PC cables and only for about 50cm i think. I have run all power and signal cables at different sides of my car.

I think i just need to create a steady ground point first instead of the sanded one on the ceiling in my trunk. Because the screen noise is also there when the monitor is connected via my PSU.
