    "ignition" wire question

Hey guys i tried asking this question on the bimmer forum first, but they seem to have little knowledge about carputers so i figured i'd ask here.

My question is where do i hook up my "ignition" wire for my carnetix.

    I have a:

    BMW 2002 325i (non h/k)
    Dell 600m
    Carnetix p1900

    Thanks

easiest place is from the stock head unit harness. get a multi meter out and check out the orange and red wires (i forgot which one it was) and you'll find one that has 12v when the key is in the on possition and 0v when the key is pulled out. that is the ignition wire you're looking for
