Found what I was looking for M2-ATX J3 (Ignition) Question.

Hey Guys,
First thread for me. Done a lot of reading and perusing of the site in the last few weeks, trying learn as much as I can about the whole carpc thing.
I'm getting all my parts together, being;
- M10000 (512mb/80gb hdd/Creative Audiy PCI S/C)
- M2-Atx
- Lilliput 7" TS
- BU-353 Gps receiver
- OBDpros OBD-II serial hardware (on the way)
- USB Wifi
- USB Bluetooth
Now after the small talk, my question.
What do people normally connect upto their M2-ATX as their start signal, whether that be simply the ignition wire or their remote central locking system?
I'm liking the idea of connecting it to my R.C.L so that by the time I get to the car, it's already booted and ready to go when I get in. I had considered connecting one of the indicator wires to the M2-ATX to give it the go ahead to startup as the indicators flash when you unlock the car.
Is this going to work?
I have searched but couldn't quite find what I was looking for...
I installed my carpc into my pet Kangaroo, mate.

Well most people just use the ignintion wire for the turn on. So when the car starts, it starts. If you want to have it booted when you get in the car, remote start all the way. I have it and it works flawlessly. $50 from eBay and a weekend worth of cable snipping, soldering, and frustration under the dash.
You could hook up a pulse relay to work off the door lock/unlock signal, but for me that would be impractical. I like to lock or unlock my doors a couple times to make sure they are locked or unlocked. Habit I guess. Also when I can't find my car, I just keep pressing lock so it honks and I can find it. Now if my computer was on this, it would be starting and stopping constantly. Also, I know i've done it where you jam them in your pocket, and the doors unlock or something. THen your PC would go on too. What if you forgot to trigger the lock/unlock pulse when you get out of your car. The pulse realy would have no idea, and keep supplying power. You'll be greated by a nice dead battery in the morning.
Remote start all the way. Also comes with some cool "features" too. Like when you just step into a store somehwere, remote start it before you get out, so that the module is going, and then get out and lock the doors. Then the car still runs for 10 minutes. Good all around.
