1 - No, it's not all on the 12v rail. Via C-series CPUs draw mostly from the 5v rail.
2 - RAM power draw is over and above the power draw from the CPU/motherboard.
I just got this mobo off ebay, along with an M2 power supply.
I have a question, though... The mobo is 25 watts, as I see in the ebay auction and have verified that in multiple places on this site, but is that all on the 12v rail? I thought that I saw mobos pulling off of multiple rails. I just want to know, so that when I do my power calculations, I know how much i am left with.
I also have 1 gig of DDR2 ram in there. Does this figure in seperately?
I know, these answers maybe on here already, but I have looked. None of the power calculators had the VIA c7, and I also didn't see the DDR2 ram listed, only DDR.
Thanks DarquePervert, I appreciate the help. I was worried you were going to tear me a new one. I am glad, that I got a response from you (as I have read many of your other posts during my research and have a great respect for your knowledge). Thanks again.
