the OPUS does have a ignition trigger... and yes you can use your cigarette lighter plug as the source for that.. although I would run a wire from the fuse box..
Im almost starting to build my carputer, I have a last question about my power supllie.
Im gonna buy a Opus power supplie still not knowing which exacly.
Does a Opus dc-dc converter has a build in relay?
Can I use my cigarette holder as a trigger for the relay? ( my cigarette holder goes on and off togeter with my ignition ).
So I just need to connect my cigarrete holder to my relay on the dc-dc converter, make sure it has power. And when I turn my ignition on it will trigger the opus to give the carpc power. Is this correct?
Thank you very much for your respons!
(Does mp3car ship to Belgium?)

See I still not get it.
Run a wire from the fusebox to where? The opus you mean?
Maybe a little pic will help, I mean is this correct and is the pointed wire neccesairy?
Thank you

you have to use that wire if you want the OPUS to turn your pc on and off automatically for you

Ah okey, thank you for the reply, I finally understand, time to start building me some.
you can save yourself the trouble of the lighter and just get a fuse tap. Hook it into a fuse in the fusebox that is activate by the ACC position.
