How to hook up power supply?

    i have a p1900, travla c138 and a VIA m10000.

the travla has its only power supply with an ac adapter. it takes 19v dc so its perfect with the p1900.

there are cables that go from the travla power supply to the m10000. my question is, How do i get the startup/shutdown controller part fo the p1900 to work? do i splice into the wires that go from the travla power supply to the m10000? so basically find the wires that create the short when the button on the travla is pushed right? or i can hook it up to the button on the case as well. would it make a difference? gonna be using some quick disconnects so i can still do my setup in the house or any new additions to the system.

    your thoughts are greatly appreciated.

    thanks.

Did you read the manual for the P1900 that specifically discusses this setup?

    Page 16.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.

yea but isnt the power button header already being use on the motherboard by the power button on the travla case?

i actually asked mike about this but he said he is unfamiliar with the m10000 and its header setup.

if i spliced into the wire that goes from the power button to the power button header on the m10000 wouldnt that be the same thing as plugging it into the motherboard? i dont want to disconnect the header that goes from the travla case to the m10000 power button header because then i wouldnt be able to turn the machine one when im using it anywhere other than my car where the p1900 is.

i know what i need to hook up but what i want to know is if i can do it a different way by keeping the power button on the case connected to the motherboard.
