    M2-ATX - Ignition Cuts Power - Doesn't Hibernate

I don't know whats going on with my configuration but when I turn my key off the computer shuts off instead of going into hibernate. This is obviously because it cuts the power completely from the unit.

What wiring problems could have caused this? I'm not sure how to fix it.

    Thank You

Is Windows set to hibernated when the power button is pressed? The power can be completely cut once the system has hibernated.

I believe it is a simple wiring boo boo. If by it cuts the power completely you mean, as soon as the key is out, it is as if the plug is pulled from the wall then ther are 2 most possible hardware problems.

1: You accidentally reversed the +12v constant (RED) with the +12v switched (WHITE, aka ignition wire). Check what voltages the wires are putting out both with the car off and the car on. That is my guess.

    2. You are in dumb PSU mode where it acts like a regular PSU. Check your jumpers on the M2. THere is a 2x4 header labeled ABCD. If no jumpers are on it, then it is in "dumb" mode.

so if it does cut it but in regular base like after 30 sec..then u neet to wire psu to the MB power connector. I can't remember what are the connections but if u read the manual u will find out.

Mine did that exact thing. Had the +12v and IGN wires reversed. Check and recheck.
