Right, the CarPC has been fine for a while, and then recently starts behaving oddly.

It will turn on, POST, resume, gets to windows login, loud click from HD and cold reboots. Over and over...
...About 4 times before it finally fires up into Windows.

It does exactly the same from a cold startup, but the strange thing is that it boots fine from standby

When it does it it is definitely having its power cut as no errors are generated in XP Events.

So i brought it into the house to tinker with it, and guess what, it works fine on a mains PSU.


Could this be something to do with a power shortage from the M2-ATX for the motherboard? I read something on it recently on here and can't find it now.

I need to get my opus90 returned and fixed as the M2 is nowhere near as trustworthy
