DSATX and amp turn on lead...not turning off

New install, new carpc, new PSU. Everything boots up just fine.

When I pull the key, the computer shuts down as it should....but the amps don't, neither does the alpine processor. In otherwords, the turn on lead won't turn off.

I have a brain stem hooked up and I can go into hyper terminal no problem. Here's my current settings:

    033.8:12.28:11.93:05.08:0.3.33:10.07:0000:YYYY:2:0 000

However, hyper terminal isn't accepting any of my keybaord commands so I can't pause the feed to input any new data or to get to the advanced commands.

I see from the manual where I need to set EARLYAUXCUT to 1 (yes), but I can't get there.

    Any ideas?

So I've tried Tera Term now too, no dice.

No keyboard commands are going through.

    Anyone?

Part of me wonders if I might have switched the ground and the logic-in pins when I created a new cable, but then I think about how it would even send information if it weren't grounded...so this doesn't seem like it would be the issue...unless it's grounding through some other means?

Can you test it with the brainstem plugged right into the DSATX?

Try changing your flow control to either off or Xon/Xoff i've had that keep me from entering serial commands into hyperterm.

nope - I've just tested continuity between all of the pins (from the back side of the brain stem to the back side of the PSU) and all pins are continuous.

I've also traced all wires and confirmed that everything is wired up correctly.

I've tried switching things around and when I do I lose the feed, so I know it's all hooked up correctly.

    Still no dice.

How do you have AUX OUT connected? Are you using a relay?

    yes, this relay:

Doesn't sound like the relay can be bad if it's turning everything on. And if I were wired up to the wrong output, it would turn the amps off when the computer is turned on and when the computer is turned off the amps would come on.

I unplugged J1 while the computer was running and I can hear the relay click. So I know the relay is good.

I've also tested continuity between the PSU ground and this pin throughout the shutdown process. It's continuous with the computer on, through shutdown, and with the computer off.

If the PSU is programmed right, then it should have ground when on, no ground when off. Correct?

Can you give me your optimal behavior of AUX out?

Sleep: ACC Low, Rails Off, +5VSB OFF, AUX is ( OFF )
Startup 1 : ACC High, Rails OFF, +5VSB ON, AUX is ( )
Startup 2: ACC High, Rails ON, Startup Pulse Sent, +5VSB ON, AUX is ( )
Running : ACC High, Rails ON, Computer Running, +5VSB ON,AUX is ( )
Countdown : ACC Low, Rails ON, Computer Running, +5VSB ON, AUX is ( )
Shutdown 1: ACC Low, Rails ON, Shutdown Pulse Sent, +5VSB ON, AUX is ( )
Shutdown 2: ACC Low, Rails OFF, Computer OFF, +5VSB ON, AUX is ( )
Sleep: ACC Low, Rails Off, +5VSB OFF, AUX is ( OFF )

Fill in the AUX is ( ON/OFF ) blanks. Note any desired behavior.
