is it possible to modify the sproggy psu design for different dimmensions

Is it possible to change the dimmensions of the sproggy power supply by using a different pcb and putting all the same parts on in slightly different places. I need the power supply dimmensions not to be higher than 50mm and not to be wider than 170mm. i want to get depth to be as small as possible so (HxWxD) = (50x170x?) or if there is another power supply similar to the one i described that already exists then what is it, I have looked but found none. I am aming for less than 30mm for the depth even less than that if possible not sure if it is just have to hope i guess.

Anything is possible... the first Sproggy I put together had a PCB that I made myself with it's own design. Same schematic, just wanted to integrate a few other things.

The current PCB designs that are around here are small... I don't know if there is any room for improvement in the total area of the board. The ones Mastero sells are long and skiny.... So I am sure if you want to spend the time you could make it shorter and wider.

I used AutoCAD to draw the traces and pads, printed on vellum and used that to expose a photo-etch board. It is not hard but takes some time to layout all the traces and make sure everything is right. And cost wise you can buy one cheaper from Mastero than you can by a blank photo-etch board.... And it is already drilled, which is a royal pain in the *** to do

I still don't know how he does it.

no it isnt. you waste space, plus it confuses the hell out of people, and you end up getting multiple conversations on the same topic.

information doenst show up in one thread that shows up in the other.

now, as for the question... you can modify anything you want. but you have to realize that you are going to have to make a one of a kind board, and if you arent going to make it yourself, then you are going to pay a lot for a shop to make one board.

The mpbs1 that I make is 31.75 mm deep, 96.52 mm long, and 63.5 mm wide.

I am selling them for 159 though. Most people don't want to pay me for my time so they wind up with something else. But I have sold quite a few of them. Let me know if you are interested There isn't a smaller ATX power supply out there. The specs are better than the sproggy.

well the height of what i am building is 50mm so i would have to turn it on its side and the 31.75mm would be the height (in my box) the 96.52 would be placed in the width of my box because my box is aprox 178mm. so the 63.5mm is how much depth it would add to my box which is to much the overall area of your prodeuct is great but i need it to be even wider (all the way up to 170mm) and skinny so it does not add so much depth to my box i need about half of what you got (the 63.5) like 30mm.
