PSU for Aopen MP945VX mini pc

    Hey all,

For a long time i've wanted to put a carpc into my R32 GT-R and have finally decided on what I want and what I think i'll need.

I've opted for the Aopen MP945VX mini pc which i'll spec out how I want, but the cpu I'm looking at is a Intel Core 2 Duo (Mobile) T5600 1.83Ghz.

However I'm not sure what type of PSU I should get for use in the car. Of course i'd want the startup/shutdown timers like other PSU are promoting but I wanted to ask you guys what you thought would be my best option.

    Thanks

    Adz

Well as long as the motherboard has an ATX connector, then any dc-dc will be fine. The core duo doesn't draw too much power, so an opus 120, or M2-ATX and up (power/price wise) should do it. Might not fit in the case, but it will work.
Then there are units like the carnetix and such that plug into the wall jack opening on the pc (if it uses a brick type power like a laptop does).

Thanks for such a quick reply!

From what I can see the PSU is like a laptop power supply.

Thats a picture of the back of the pc and that input definitely suggests its a laptop PSU.

So carnetix is the go you think?
