v.3 should be even better for you. The listen mode works wonders, much easier to enter data

Yeh, if you say 'listen' it will listen for 10 seconds, as stated in the config file. You can either decrease or increase this. Or if you want it to listen all the time just say 'computer mic on'. The task switcher just sends alt-tab to the open window; since this is a windows key, windows intercepts it and switches the task. Unfortunatly some programs have two "windows" so they are stubborn and will not switch, even with the normal task switcher.Originally Posted by rgardjr
Wow! This is a long thread. Who do I contact to try and get a subforum?
Also, anyone else try v.3?
The new 'listen' feature is quite an enhacement. However, right now it seems that once RoutisVoice is lauched it is 'listening' indefinately. By that I mean the timer (which is 10 seconds by default) is actually infinite at the start. After I say 'listen' then the timer changes from indefinate to 10 seconds. I wasnt sure if that is how you wanted it. So far v3 is working great!
is there any way you can make the system tray icon change while its 'listening'?
I'll try to add a change in system icon, but I haven't run into the listen freeze problems. Look in the engine log to see if it says 'enter ended'.Originally Posted by MoFo
OH! You have to say 'computer mic off' so it will remember the setting.Otherwise it won't write that its not listening to the file.
For v.4 I think I'm going to add restart routis on system resume. I'll try to add the systray icon for when its listening (maybe someone should give me a good icon). Any other requests??
how hard would it be to add a Find Song command that interacts with FrodoPlayer.
So we can say "Find Song" and then say the letters to enter into the search box. And a "Next song" command.
That would be so awesome, I would even have to donate a litte more![]()
Does FrodoPlayer accept commands? Like keyboad strokes? What if you are in another window in Frodoplayer, wouldn't that mess everything up?Originally Posted by MoFo
Are the actual key strokes hard coded into the program? So if I wanted to add a command for the Tab key-can I add this be editing the ini and xml or is this something that has to added to the program? My understanding is that the xml file contains the words that are being listened for and the ini contains the voice response and programs launched when the voice is heard, but the actual keystroke that are sent I don't see. I wish MediaCar supported key strokes for navigation within the program a little better. Now that the task switcher is working I really like the ability to control MP3 playback as well.
