In the sunriseset program, the instructions say to "set the day/night settings" but no clue as to what they should be. What are the possible values and effects? Does this then control gamma for all applications? Do I then have to run sunriseset in my startup group to enable it or is it embedded in NaviVoice? In fact, right now I have NaviVoice in my startup group but is that necessary or is it / will it be embedded into FP when it starts up?

About the mics. I think that mic will work fine on the desktop but it is questionable in the car. Let us know how it works out when you get around to putting this badboy in the car
I hope it works well in the car. Other people have Jabara (sp) bluetooth mics in their cars.

    Yep

I guess I am coming to the conclusion that the bubble is being popped up instead of the voice. I guess I need to figure out how to kill the bubble to enable the voice response.....
The bubble means that the speak command is being send to Microsoft Agent (working voice command). In the conf.exe program, does the agent actually speak? I have a feeling that you are missing a few componenets of MS agent, because it doesn't speak, or you have your volume set too low.

Open up GammaControl.exe, view the slider, and find a setting that you like (for night). Then find the other setting (for day), and input these values into the sunrise/set program. It controls gamma for all apps. The sunriseset program is 1 time run only.

When I run the conf.exe program I get an animated Merlin in the top left corner of my screen, and an error window saying : "Access violation at address xxxxx in module conf.exe. Read of address 000000'. There is no speech at this point.
I have a feeling that you are missing a few componenets of MS agent, because it doesn't speak
    Any suggestions where to look?
or you have your volume set too low
Volume is set at midpoint for all inputs.

One of these or these components is not installed on your system. Since the Merlin shows up, then I'm guessing that its one of the text to speech ones.

BTW: What OS are you using?

Weird. I also have XP. So, did you get conf.exe to speak? Search for microsoft agent install on google.
