That is y it is caled a sound loop from what I know.
Read on from post 52. That guy was having the same problems.

I did. and it look like the same but when I go and mute the mic in the sound control panel it stays muted until i restart navivoise or resume from hibernation or suspension... which means that I must mute the mic every time I start my car! that is definitely not practical. I don’t know how they keep it muted after resume... mine does not and that is related to Navivoice... Since I LOVE that program and i don't want to give it up i am trying to find a solution...
Will never be DONE! There is always something to add

My point is that you shouldn't be hearing whatever is coming out of the speakers through the MIC. Like if you put the MIC next to the speaker and play something, you should not hear an "echo" or feedback. Read this... hope it helps

I only hear echo when i have the music REALLY loud. First reson is that when that unmute thig happens also the mic volume goes close to zero so the mic does no pick up any music even though navivoice works perfectly! but since the mic is not muted and very low i can't use it with my bluetooh phone as hands free. Of course there are few times that i have echo with loud music... usuly in the form of that high pitch noise.

Ok. I hope those guys can point you in the right direction. I don't have an EPIA, and I don't plan to, so I wouldn't know

really appreciate your help! by the way I just tested it on my home pc and it dose exactly the same thing it un mutes the mic and lowers the mic volume almost to zero! have u tried reproducing it? Open your sound control panel and see the settings of your mic. Then start Navivoice and re check the settings. Did they stay the same??

I am glad that I am not unique in this case lol but still you have any idea how to stop that from happening? Navivoice works fine with the mic muted so that would not be a problem. Do you understand the problems that I am describing? I suppose that others have had the problem but did not pay attention to it... I would really like to solve that problem as it restricts to very important functions of my system. Just a thought: Is it possible after the command to resume recognition on Navivoice to add a command to mute the mic and maybe raise the volume? I suppose that when that great moment comes when you install your carputer you will use Navivoice So you will have the same problem hehe! (Giving you motive lol)

Well, if I'm running NaviVoice and I start tapping really lound on the MIC, I don't hear anything coming out of the speakers. That means that there's a problem on your end

Taping doesn't do it, i don't hear any thing by taping... loud music dose! try putting the mic next to a speaker with loud music! of course in the car the mic is not so close but loud music does it for me... The other thing i forgot to mention is that the wire of my mic is unfortunately picking up interference from something... it goes all around the dash and through the electronics of the car and the wire is kinda thin not shielded apparently so I also have that noise when I turn up my main volume I'll try using a ground loop isolator for that but i think it will kill my mic as the signal is very low anyway. The other thing is that if my mic is set to very low i can’t use it like a hands free for my mobile phone. I know I am busting your b***s! lol sorry! Now that i have some more time I'll try finding some solution... I'll try searching about SAPI on line to find any info related... If you stumble upon any lead please post it! Thanks a lot man!
