    Affirmative - Confirmation Trigger

    Hi there,

Just wondering if it is possible to have a trigger that acknowledges when a successful command has been recognized by NaviVoice.

    For example:

    Me: "Computer"
    Comp: "Listening"

    Me: "Open Media Player"
    Comp: "Affirmative"
    Comp: "Opening Media Player"
    Comp: <Action open media player>

    Or,

    Me: "Computer"
    Comp: "Listening"

    Me: "Pause"
    Comp: "Affirmative"
    Comp: <Pause winamp>

This would be what I am looking for. However, an advanced expansion of this I have thought of would be the following:

    Me: "Computer"
    Comp: "Listening"

    Me: "Pause"
    Comp: "Affirmative"
    Comp: <Pause winamp>
    Comp: "Winamp is paused"

Is this possible? If so, can you post the code I would do in the XML and/or the INI to make this work?

    Cheers
    Aaron

This can already be done - in fact a lot of those confirmation commands are already in the "navivoice.ini"

You need to make sure your voice confirmation is on - and then you can put whatever you want it to respond in the ini. If you look at navivoice.ini you will see, for example, voice406=Opening Road Runner (it might actually say Opening media player ...I forget what I have changed)

This I don't know - I guess you would have to read info from Winamp so you would know that it had paused.

This I know, but I was looking for a confirmation of all recognized commands.

Such as, when you say "Play" there is no confirmation, or section where I can put a confirmation.

    Unless I am missing something?

I could be wrong - but have you tried adding lines in the .ini. I think you can add under the [voices] section a line like:
    voice502=playing

gbh is right on about how to do that. You can add pauses, open up the config utility and play around with editing the voices. You can change the pitch on some voices, pause them, have them spell a word out, etc
